About The Position

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation of multiple projects. This role involves providing management oversight for all phases of projects, including coordinating field staff, materials, and equipment, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications, financial management, and handling change documents. The Project Manager will also be responsible for establishing project budgets, monitoring costs, providing monthly forecasts and cost reporting, and ensuring profitable and successful project outcomes. Additionally, this role involves identifying opportunities for project enhancements, managing subcontractor setup and paperwork, establishing QA programs, and overseeing contract management, including RFIs, change orders, and submittals. The position may have direct reports and is responsible for their mentoring and training.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Windows applications, including Microsoft Office and operating software.
  • Ability to read detailed (blueprints) plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction industry products and accompanying trades.
  • Experience with Construction Estimating.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with E&K Scopes of work and Project Management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation of multiple projects.
  • Provide management oversight for all phases of project(s) including coordinating field staff, materials, equipment, submittals, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications, creating and maintaining schedules, financial management, review and pricing of change documents and budget/cost reviews and re-estimates.
  • Responsible for taking actions necessary to ensure a profitable and successful project.
  • Identify and implement opportunities that result in overall project enhancements.
  • Establish project budgets, monitor costs and report results to the entire project team.
  • Provide monthly forecasting and all cost reporting for assigned projects.
  • Provide accurate material lists to the Foreman and Purchasing Manager for ordering materials.
  • Monitor project schedules and provide timely responses to revisions issued.
  • Attend on-site meetings as required.
  • Monitor project budgets and resources allocations.
  • Responsible for Subcontractor set-up and paperwork maintenance as applicable.
  • Responsible for setup of QA program for the project.
  • Contract management; including, but not limited to updating contract drawings and specifications, RFI and change management (i.e. ASIs, bulletins, RFQs) and submittals.
  • Responsible for POA’s & Performance Evaluations for the team including monthly POA review meetings, yearly updates, Performance Evaluations / Performance Journal for direct reports.
