About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee custom machine design, build, and startup projects. This role requires strong technical skills in CAD and project management software, along with knowledge of various welding and cutting processes. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer-facing communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams. A BSME is preferred, but equivalent technical degrees with strong experience will be considered. Travel is expected to be around 15%, primarily to customer sites and suppliers.

Requirements

• Custom machine design/build/startup experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software.
• Proficiency in MS Project.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• GMAW, GTAW, PAW, laser welding/cutting, plasma cutting knowledge.
• Gantt chart development.
• Milestone tracking.
• Budget/margin management.
• Change order pricing and negotiation.
• Customer-facing communication.
• Contract negotiation.
• Cross-functional team coordination.
• BSME preferred; BSEE or equivalent technical degree considered with strong experience.

Nice To Haves

• Welding/Process Knowledge: GMAW, GTAW, PAW, laser welding/cutting, plasma cutting (big plus)
