The Project Manager manages customer projects from award through closeout with increasing autonomy. You are responsible for safety, schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction while applying crane and rigging knowledge to plan and execute work efficiently. The Project Manager serves as a key point of contact for customers and internal teams. This role provides oversight, evaluation, and improvement of the efficiency of the project management team, ensuring adherence to management principles established by the Senior Leadership Team. Responsibilities include participating in customer site visits, proposal development, and contract development/reviews to ensure a complete understanding of scope, contractual obligations, and job risks. The Project Manager works with the Project Sales Representative before project development, taking the project from sales through development into execution, maintaining communication throughout the project, and documenting changes that affect scope, schedule, or budget. Interaction with customers, engineers, vendors, suppliers, and others is crucial during the design and planning phase. The role involves close collaboration with the project team to develop and maintain an overall project schedule, highlighting critical path items and anticipating issues. The Project Manager is responsible for foreseeing typical challenges that historically affect schedules, construction, and project costs, identifying these issues, and developing solutions with the project team. Regular and accurate communication of project status, including schedule, financial status, risk assessment, quality, safety, and other key areas, is essential. This role also includes coordinating work crews and scheduling required equipment, with a willingness to travel as needed and manage field leadership.
