About The Position

Leidos is seeking a cleared Project Manager to join their Integrated Airborne Solutions Branch within the Defense Sector in Beavercreek, OH. This role will support the Air Force Research Lab, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, and other DoD missions by managing a diverse portfolio of programs. The work involves software design and development, hardware interfacing and integration, laboratory experimentation, and ground and flight testing to deploy advanced solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Knowledge, experience, and demonstrated ability to perform independently as a Project Manager.
  • Experience or familiarity with planning of projects including labor, scope, and statement of work.
  • Labor forecasting/management experience.
  • Familiarity with use of an RLN, ROM, and other project management tools.
  • Familiarity with Financial/Budget management, including monthly budget reviews, adjustments for EAC planning, and controlling costs.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office applications.
  • Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once (multi-task).
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant work experience as a USG DoD contractor Project Manager.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level II or higher in DoD Acquisition.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project.
  • Experience working in a SIL environment.
  • Familiar with Agile Methodologies, preferably SCRUM or Kanban.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Crucible, Bitbucket.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, oversight and management of the day-to-day execution aspects of current and future projects.
  • Serve as a liaison between program management, the project team, and government customers.
  • Provide and review status of projects and budgets.
  • Manage schedules and prepare status reports for Program Management and customers.
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers and customers.
  • Administratively provide, track, and maintain status of CDRLs pertaining to contractual efforts.
  • Work with government and contractor counterparts to support engineering design efforts, follow-on production, and developmental and operational flight test demonstration efforts.
  • Assist in producing or reviewing documents for program office use that support the breadth of the projects acquisition and lifecycle sustainment.
