About The Position

Primarily responsible for project executables, sales support as needed for workload and learning as assigned. This role initiates, plans, executes, monitors/controls, and closes capital equipment projects of varying scope, complexity, and quantity. The Project Manager directs project activities to ensure objectives are met within time and budget constraints by executing prescribed project management processes. This includes facilitating coordination meetings, running acceptance testing, organizing installation/commissioning plans, managing action registers, following up on deliverables, conferring on issue resolutions, consulting with customers, and managing project closure and hand-off. The role also involves maintaining constant communication with customers, sales, the factory, and internal departments, representing Weber, Inc. in customer meetings, and attending strategy meetings. Additionally, the Project Manager requisitions equipment and supplies, formulates reports on work progress and costs, and provides technical sales support including equipment selection, configuration, layout, feasibility studies, and contract review. Duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of capital machine projects and knowledge of slicing and/or packaging systems/applications.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, subordinates, customers, and the general public.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with computers including MS Office, AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (electrical engineering preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of proven work experience in food processing or a closely related field.
  • Must have a valid and unrestricted driver's license. Real ID-compliant driver’s license or other TSA approved alternative form of identification required for travel.
  • Valid passport or can obtain one.

Nice To Haves

  • German as a second language preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce, SAP and web-based project management platforms is preferred.
  • Will consider a combination of education and experience
  • PMP Certification Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, Plan, Execute, Monitor/Control and Close capital equipment projects in varying scope, complexity and quantity.
  • Direct activities of projects to ensure that project objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and allowed budget by executing prescribed project management process, including, but not limited to: facilitating coordination meetings, running acceptance testing, organizing installation/commissioning plans, managing action register and follow-up on deliverables, conferring on issue resolutions with internal teams, consulting with customers on project execution, closing and hand-off to continued support.
  • Initiate and maintain constant communication with Customers, Sales Department, Factory, and all internal departments to facilitate project activities.
  • Represent Weber, Inc. in customer project related meetings.
  • Attend strategy meetings as a representative of the project department.
  • Requisition equipment, supplies, materials and labor from 3rd party vendors, where required.
  • Formulate reports and work with other departments to formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, scheduling, etc. where required. Report audience can be management, factory and/or customer.
  • Provide technical sales support and consulting when required, including equipment selection and configuration, equipment capability, equipment layout/drawings, project feasibility/execution, performance feasibility, testing execution and criteria, risk analysis, contract review.
