About The Position

The company is seeking Project Managers at the APM, PM, and Senior PM levels to lead large-scale heavy civil and environmental projects throughout the Southeast. Two positions are currently available. Projects range from $20 million to $250 million and include coal combustion residuals (CCR) and coal ash work, landfill cell construction and closures, and heavy civil/site development, including expanding data center site work.

The Project Manager will own project delivery from mobilization through closeout, working closely with field leadership, clients, and the VP of Operations. The role includes a significant on-site presence, particularly on long-term power plant projects. Direct CCR experience is highly desirable; strong heavy civil Project Managers without CCR experience may be considered and trained in the specialized aspects of the work.

This is an opportunity to lead some of the company's largest and most complex projects while helping strengthen its growing Project Management team and support the company's continued growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Senior APM, or Senior Project Manager in heavy civil construction.
• Experience with large-scale earthwork, environmental construction, underground utilities, paving, or related heavy civil work.
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, cost control, change management, and client communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project documentation systems.
• Ability and willingness to work on-site at long-term power plant projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related degree preferred; equivalent field experience will be considered.

Nice To Haves

• CCR, coal ash, ash pond closure, or landfill construction experience.
• Primavera P6 experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience working at major utility sites and familiarity with utility document control and compliance processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, budgets, cost control, billing, change orders, and overall financial performance.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Lead project teams, including Superintendents, Foremen, equipment operators, and other field personnel.
• Oversee large-scale earthmoving and environmental construction operations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners and clients.
• Manage owner document control, compliance requirements, reporting, and project documentation.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate mobilization, execution, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and project closeout.
• Maintain a significant on-site presence, particularly on long-term power plant projects.
• Partner directly with the VP of Operations on project strategy and execution.
• Help develop and strengthen the company's growing Project Management team.
