About The Position

Southern Impression Homes is a builder of single-family homes and multi-family units for both the BTR and owner-occupied markets in Florida. Headquartered in Jacksonville, the company is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking a Sales Assistant to help the sales team achieve sales goals through marketing and business development activities. Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years residential building experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or completion of another post-secondary program in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • In depth understanding of local and federal safety regulations (such as OSHA) and the establishing of safety policies and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for the effective manufacture of quality homes
  • Able to read blueprints and effectively communicate information to others - highly detailed and accurate
  • Experience with project management software
  • Able to manage time and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of principles for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Willingness to work in a non-smoking environment
  • Readily adaptable to rapid change in a high stress environment while remaining calm and effective
  • Able to work with a flexible schedule that may require more than 40 hours’ work per week
  • Have exemplary record of attendance and punctuality
  • Current, valid driver’s license and minimum state required liability insurance
  • Able to perform essential functions of position with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, coordinate and inspect the activities of subcontractors and vendors
  • Hold subcontractors and vendors accountable for complete work consistent with CKF Construction standards prior to approving POs
  • Stage punch all construction and walk with ownership or management team for final acceptance for each house
  • Walk and inspect construction sites at least twice per day to ensure specifications and deadlines are being met by subcontractors
  • Schedule required inspections and interact with inspectors and ownership
  • On-site liaison with client
  • Ensure homes are complete prior to final buyer walks
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of status of each home on assigned jobsites, producing a weekly report to give client.
  • Ensure homes are completed by scheduled closing date
  • Maintain construction best practices on respective jobsites
  • Identify material needs and verify delivery of materials to construction sites
  • Recognize common safety violations and instruct appropriate subcontractors to abate violations
  • Communicate and manage expectations with ownership. May consist of weekly OAC calls.
  • Analyze problems and recommend solutions to management
  • Facilitate onsite team to resolve any issues and to report to management
