About The Position

The Project Manager oversees the development and execution of systems, projects, and proposals, and manages assigned projects through their entire life cycle—from the initial client meeting through client acceptance. The role manages client relationships, project requirements, estimates, costs, schedules, quality, workforce safety, and production. It also coordinates with installation, purchasing, and warehouse teams and may involve occasional onsite management and travel to meet clients or prepare quotes. This is a full-time, exempt position based in San Diego, California. The stated salary range is $80,000 to $120,000 per year. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Travel is primarily local during the business day, though out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. Duties and responsibilities may change to meet company or customer needs.

Requirements

Ten or more years of professional project management experience in the telecommunications industry.
Strategic thinking, financial management, decision-making, and visionary leadership skills.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage client-partner relationships to drive project inception and progress.
Interface with clients to determine project requirements.
Create estimates and quotes for prospective jobs for new and existing clients.
Oversee the installation team to balance workload and achieve targeted productive hours.
Occasionally act as an onsite manager to ensure client expectations are met.
Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse departments on vendor selection and timely product receipt.
Ensure job estimating, quoting, costing, and billable hours are on target.
Attend project status meetings with clients and/or contractors.
Adhere to contract and design specifications while managing cost, schedule, and quality.
Oversee projects through project close and client acceptance.
Manage multiple projects with different clients concurrently.
Manage workforce safety and production for site projects.
Travel to local or out-of-state or out-of-country locations, sometimes on short notice, to meet clients for potential quotes.
Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
