About The Position

Project Control, a subsidiary of Raba Kistner, is a program and Project Management firm. Our purpose is to build a better and more sustainable world for our employees, their families, our clients, and the communities we serve. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Project Control team in Richardson, TX. Project Manager’s are self-starters, motivated, and detail oriented. In this role, you will support the successful delivery of projects by assisting Project Managers III and IV with day-to-day project work, contributing to team leadership, and engaging in personal development opportunities. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow within the firm while working closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to represent the Owner’s best interests. The role requires most of your time on project performance, some on personal development, and the rest on staying informed about marketplace activities, with minimal involvement in financial performance, marketing, operations, or firm leadership at this stage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience. Six to ten years related experience may be substituted for education requirement
  • Five (5) years of project management experience, or at least three (3) years in an Owner's Representative or similar role.
  • Interest in learning project management fundamentals, construction methods, cost estimating, contract documentation, and scheduling.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license within the applicable jurisdiction and meet company’s auto insurability requirements.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.) and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day project work, including planning, execution, and delivery, while coordinating tasks with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders in collaboration with a Project Manager III, IV, or other senior staff to ensure completion on schedule, budget, and within defined scope
  • Lead project-related meetings in collaboration with a Project Manager III, IV, or other senior staff, preparing detailed agendas, conducting discussions, and producing monthly reports and meeting minutes to document progress and decisions
  • Help develop project plans, track schedules and budgets, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittments under guidance to ensure project alignment and quality.
  • Conduct site visits to observe construction progress and quality.
  • Support financial tasks including pay applications, invoices, cost tracking, and change orders.
  • Prepare meeting notes, monthly reports, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project success.
  • Engage in professional development, training, and learning opportunities.
  • Understand, adhere and participate in the Raba Kistner Health and Safety and (BBS) Programs and set a good safety example
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
