About The Position

The Project Manager plays a critical organizational role at Kingston Community Health Centres providing hands-on project leadership and execution across the clinical portfolio and as needed, across programs and the broader organization. This position is equally responsible for leading and completing project work. The Project Manager is both a strategic driver and a direct contributor to deliverables. Embedded within the Clinical Services portfolio, this role operates with a flexible and evolving focus, allowing for responsiveness to organization priorities while continuing to support clinical service objectives. The Project Manager succeeds through influence, collaboration, exceptional organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced community health environment.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in public health, public administration, health studies, or business administration, or a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in project management or organizational coordination, preferably in a health or community services setting
  • Demonstrated experience both leading projects and producing high-quality deliverables and work products
  • Experience designing and conducting program evaluations, including developing logic models, evaluation frameworks, and data collection tools
  • Solid grounding in project management methodologies, frameworks, and best practices
  • Knowledge of program evaluation theory and practice, including evaluation design, logic models, and outcome measurement
  • Familiarity with data collection and analysis methods
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, interpret, and present data clearly and meaningfully
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines across multiple projects
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, polished reports, briefing notes, presentations, evaluation reports, and project documentation
  • Strong verbal communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead meetings and working groups effectively
  • Understanding of health system and community health centre contexts, including clinical service delivery and organizational governance
  • Knowledge of organizational strategy development and implementation processes
  • Proficiency with project management tools, data collection tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to think both strategically and critically to understand the bigger organizational picture while managing complex details
  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence and self-direction, taking initiative without waiting to be directed
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence across teams, roles, and portfolios without formal authority
  • Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities, ambiguity, and changing organizational needs
  • Current and satisfactory Criminal and Vulnerable Persons Check
  • Valid drivers’ license, insurance, and access to reliable vehicle

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification an asset
  • Experience in a community health centre, primary care, or community health setting an asset
  • Familiarity with health system structures, clinical operations, and/or community health programming am asset
  • Experience with funder reporting or accountability frameworks that include evaluation components an asset

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of projects within the clinical portfolio and across organizational programs as assigned
  • Develop and maintain project plans, workplans, timelines, status reports, risk logs, and other project documentation
  • Facilitate project teams, working groups, and stakeholder meetings — establishing clear goals, accountabilities, and momentum
  • Directly produce project deliverables, including reports, briefing notes, presentations, frameworks, tools, and implementation materials
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks or delays, and adapt plans to keep work on track
  • Bring projects to meaningful completion, ensuring outcomes are documented and communicated
  • Support the senior leadership team in the planning and execution of organizational strategy initiatives
  • Translate strategic priorities into structured workplans with clear milestones and accountabilities
  • Track and report on the progress of strategic initiatives, flagging issues and supporting course correction as needed
  • Develop and implement templates and tools to support organizational project execution and consistency
  • Manage and execute projects related to clinical service development, quality improvement, program change, and service integration
  • Coordinate cross-functional clinical project work, engaging clinical staff, administrators, and external partners as appropriate
  • Support the implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and operational changes
  • Lead and execute program evaluations across clinical and organizational programs, including developing evaluation frameworks, logic models, data collection plans, and evaluation reports
  • Design and implement data collection tools and processes to assess program effectiveness, outcomes, and impact
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data, synthesize findings, and translate results into clear, actionable recommendations for program and organizational improvement
  • Support the use of evaluation findings to inform program planning, service design, and strategic decision-making
  • Contribute to funder reporting and accountability requirements where program evaluation data is required
  • Provide general project and administrative support to the Director of Clinical Services, including preparing materials, coordinating with external partners, and managing time-sensitive tasks
  • Support the Director in tracking and managing organizational priorities, preparing agendas, and following up on action items
  • Assist with research, data gathering, and the preparation of reports and presentations as required
  • Comply with all relevant legislation and KCHC policies, including privacy laws
  • Commits to acquiring an understanding of the importance of trauma responsiveness and the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
  • Commits to demonstrating an ongoing commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigenization and Accessibility (EDIIA) by representing the diverse nature of our communities, promoting and practicing inclusion
