We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage heavy mechanical commercial projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate has 5-6+ years of project management experience in the mechanical or industrial construction industry, a strong understanding of union labor coordination, and a track record of successfully managing large-scale, time-sensitive projects.

Requirements

5-6+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the heavy mechanical, industrial, or commercial construction sector.
Extensive knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and sheet metal systems, commercial construction, and union labor practices.
Proven experience in managing large-scale projects ranging from $500K to $5M in value.
Strong expertise in budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract administration.
Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to Commute: Modesto, CA 95350 (Required)

Responsibilities

Manage multiple commercial heavy mechanical projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and timelines to meet client and company objectives.
Coordinate pre-construction planning, project scope development, and contract negotiations.
Identify potential project risks, troubleshoot challenges, and provide strategic solutions.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and contractual obligations.
Develop and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports.
Track costs, labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or safety.
Forecast financial impacts and proactively adjust project plans to maintain profitability.
Lead and direct union workforce, ensuring productivity and adherence to labor agreements.
Work closely with field supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Maintain strong relationships with trade unions, vendors, and suppliers.
Ensure all labor activities comply with union regulations and company policies.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Maintain regular communication and reporting with senior management, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Conduct client meetings, progress reports, and site visits to assess project status and address concerns.
Negotiate and manage contracts, change orders, and project scope modifications.
Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal mechanical construction codes.
Oversee permitting, licensing, and inspection processes to meet regulatory requirements.
Utilize project management software and construction technology to improve efficiency and documentation.
