About The Position

GDIT is seeking a Project Manager to be responsible for the scope, schedule, and performance of assigned projects from the Sterling, V.A. or Annapolis Junction, M.D. locations. The role involves management, direction, administration, and quality control of project execution in accordance with PMI PMBOK and ITIL best practices, fostering a people-focused and customer-centric environment in delivering Engineering Support Services.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline +6 years’ experience or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification or training, or work/military experience
• 10+ years of relevant experience managing projects through project life cycle
• Solid leadership, coaching, and mentorship skills
• Solid organization skills and multitasking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience with Microsoft Project

Responsibilities

• Managing the project stakeholders, project team, project risk, project schedule, and project conflicts
• Planning, executing, managing, and closing projects that meet or exceed customer objectives in assigned projects
• Conducting plans and providing recommendations to the client on task workloads
• Ensuring team members understand and execute their respective roles and the roles of the other team members
• Coordinating resolution of production-related problems/roadblocks
• Measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
• Coordinating development of deliverables and services
• Ensuring proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners, and vendors to facilitate the delivery of engineering services
• Ensuring production schedules are met and system resources are used effectively
