About The Position

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for managing client relationships and overseeing projects from initial scoping through completion and final billing. This role focuses on developing long-term client partnerships, coordinating project logistics, managing project documentation, and overseeing project changes. The Project Manager ensures that all projects meet company standards for safety, quality, and profitability while consistently exceeding customer expectations, all while fostering strong relationships with our valued customers. We prioritize safety and efficiency, and you will have the opportunity to work independently while contributing to the success of the team and our mission.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial mechanical project management experience (HVAC and/or plumbing).
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems and building codes.
  • Proficient with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite, and Procore.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data center mechanical systems preferred: chilled water plants, HVAC equipment, units, economizers, BMS/controls coordination, etc.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

  • Walk completed projects with the customer to ensure satisfaction and identify future opportunities.
  • Confirm project scope, review construction documents, and distribute all relevant information to the project team and subcontractors.
  • Establish and maintain organized project documentation systems, including Bluebeam sessions, schedules, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittmits, QA/QC records, and correspondence.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower plans, and procurement timelines to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and labor.
  • Oversee procurement activities by reviewing vendor/subcontractor proposals, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring materials comply with drawings, specifications, and approved submittals.
  • Prepare and process all project documentation such as change orders, vendor quotes, RFIs, invoices, and pricing impacts.
  • Support day‑to‑day project execution, scheduling, and coordination across internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate facility shutdowns and ensure adherence to safety protocols, including daily PTPs and weekly safety meetings.
  • Collaborate with field leadership to manage installation activities, equipment rentals, QA/QC updates, and issue resolution.
  • Inspect and verify delivered equipment, document discrepancies, and manage corrective actions.
  • Maintain records such as safety certifications, QA/QC documentation, jobsite photos, crane plans, and GC communication.
  • Lead mechanical HVAC and plumbing project delivery—including mission-critical/data center work—ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and code requirements.
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of mechanical systems including HVAC equipment, chilled water systems, hydronic systems, and domestic water systems.
  • Track project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, providing updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct project meetings and communicate progress regarding schedule, budget, procurement, and scope changes.
  • Manage project closeout, including as‑builts, O&M manuals, startup records, and warranty documents.
  • Prepare project estimates by obtaining vendor pricing and developing detailed material lists.
  • Complete final budget summaries (FBS) and review with supervisor.
  • Ensure all pricing, change order scopes, and billing forms are reviewed and approved as required.
  • Prepare scope letters, subcontracts, purchase order requests, and project submittals.
  • Complete cost code sheets prior to project start for accurate JCR reporting.
  • Review Job Cost Reports with supervisor and submit all required financial/project documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
