About The Position

The Project Manager will be responsible for developing and managing project timelines, ensuring the successful completion of assigned projects to meet agreed timelines. This role involves identifying and managing project risks, transparently handling scope changes, and escalating issues as needed. The Project Manager will facilitate project updates, manage internal cross-functional resources, and oversee open sales order activity for new product deliverables. Additionally, the role includes participating in cross-functional development, technical discussions with customers, providing technical support for quoting, and contributing to data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. The Project Manager may also manage projects across different Trelleborg Medical Solutions manufacturing sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 10 years equivalent experience
  • 5 years minimum experience working in a polymer processing or medical manufacturing environment in a technical or leadership role
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills and strength in initiating and leading conversation
  • Strong assertiveness to approach individuals to develop further relationships
  • Recognizes and manages conflict effectively
  • Understanding of basic manufacturing costs
  • Understanding of rubber, silicone, or plastic molding and extrusion processes
  • Understanding of injection mold tooling design concepts
  • Familiarity with secondary operation, assembly, and medical device packaging techniques
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications
  • Familiarity with ISO13485 and QMS standards
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts and problem solving techniques
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • Ability to communicate clearly by conveying and receiving ideas, information and direction effectively
  • Ability to challenge oneself to consistently meet all goals and deadlines
  • Willingness to strive for excellence by producing work that is free of errors and mistakes

  • Post-secondary education, apprenticeship, or certificate training in polymer related or project management discipline

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages project timelines and associated communication
  • Accountable and responsible for management and successful completion of assigned projects to meet agreed timeline
  • Identify and manage risks within projects
  • Transparent identification and management of customer-driven or internal scope changes
  • Clear and confident project escalation to stakeholders & leadership
  • Facilitates/leads regular project updates/conference calls with customer
  • Manages internal cross-functional resources ensuring completion of assigned deliverables
  • Manages open sales order activity/dates for assigned NPD deliverables
  • Participates in cross functional development and review/approval of manufacturing and quality documentation
  • Participates in on/off site technical discussions/DFM reviews with customer
  • Provides technical support to estimating/sales for quoting new programs
  • Participates in tooling design review activities
  • Contributes to data analysis and collaboration with Quality Engineering
  • Provides engineering consulting on existing production programs as needed
  • Create, track, and report critical department KPI’s
  • Initiate, lead, and participate in continuous improvement activities as needed to support critical KPI goals
  • Manage projects across Trelleborg Medical Solutions manufacturing sites as needed
