The ideal candidate will be responsible for mobilizing community members, organizing events, and advocating for social and political causes. This role requires strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of community engagement strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Sociology, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in grassroots organizing, advocacy, or community engagement.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage volunteers.
• Knowledge of local and national mission-driven issues.
• Proficiency in social media and digital outreach strategies.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with diverse communities in NYC.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish, Mandarin, or other languages spoken in NYC).

Responsibilities

• Build relationships within the community to increase awareness and mobilize support.
• Organize and coordinate events, campaigns, and initiatives.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers.
• Develop and implement outreach strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, advocacy groups, and policymakers.
• Represent the organization at community events and public meetings.
