About The Position

Foster CM Group is seeking an experienced PROJECT MANAGER for a full-time position located in Orlando, FL. The Project Manager will manage construction projects from design through construction completion and will be accountable for construction activity, tailored to each contract's individual contract documents. This role requires reliance on personal experience and judgment to plan, manage, and accomplish successful project completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and four (4) years related experience.
  • Demonstrated planning, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with estimating, scheduling, design and construction required.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the use of computers.
  • Must be able and willing to work both standard and non-standard work schedules, including weekends to accommodate operations.
  • Valid Florida's driver license.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background security clearance.
  • Possession of a valid state of residence driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Daily travel to and from construction sites, generally within 100 miles from the home office is expected.
  • Short term, out of town, assignments may be required.
  • Long term, out of town, assignments may be required, with advance notice of planned dates.
  • May be required to work protracted and irregular hours to meet client's needs, including nights, overtime and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous airport construction experience or experience in an architectural or engineering firm, commercial construction company or governmental agency is preferred.
  • Experience with complex commercial renovation projects desired.
  • Professional Engineer and/or Contractor's license is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret construction documents and administer contracts.
  • Manage the design, development, and implementation of projects to include, but not limited to gathering and defining the project requirements.
  • Manage identified project quality objectives and assess project progress.
  • Facilitate project meetings and communicate project expectations.
  • Review and assess project schedule, including monitoring project milestones and critical dates to identify potential risk to project schedule.
  • Assist in resolving design and constructability issues using standard construction practices.
  • Assess variances from the project plans; make recommendations and implement changes as necessary to ensure that the project remains within specified scope and is within time, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and sound judgment to settle disputes and negotiations between parties.
  • Conduct formal quality assurance reviews during construction and upon project completion to confirm acceptance and satisfaction.
  • Regularly meet with stakeholders to confirm client expectations and report project status.
  • Perform related duties and fulfill responsibilities as required.
