Job responsibilities include leading the planning, execution, and closure of electric utility projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Collaborating with clients, engineers, field teams, and stakeholders to define project objectives and requirements. Developing comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management. Establishing and managing project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting, allocating and managing project resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, monitoring project progress, identifying deviations, and implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure project goals are met. Leading project kick-off meetings, regular progress meetings, and close-out meetings with all relevant stakeholders, managing and mitigating project risks, including technical, schedule, and budget risks. Ensuring project compliance with electrical codes, standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices, overseeing the development and review of project documentation, such as drawings, specifications, and reports, coordinating with procurement teams to source materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to meet project timelines. Leading commissioning and testing activities, ensuring systems are operational and meet project requirements. Providing technical expertise to address engineering and design issues that may arise during project execution, tracking project performance and provide regular progress reports to clients and senior management. Maintaining accurate project records and documentation, including project files and change orders, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the project team, mentoring and providing guidance to project team members and junior project managers.
