About The Position

This position is contingent upon contract award and is expected to be based in Hawthorne, Nevada. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects related to munitions handling, demilitarization, and environmental compliance. This role focuses on planning, execution, and tracking of work to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements. Compensation details will be provided upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, geology, environmental science, biology, or related field
  • 10 – 12 years of experience, including leadership in industrial, environmental, or munitions-related operations
  • Proven experience leading operations in a DoD or highly regulated environment
  • Effective and demonstrable technical writing and data analysis/management skills
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER training and current refreshers
  • Ability to work on fast-paced projects and supply a quality deliverable that exceeds customer expectations
  • Ability to foster friendly, positive, productive, and team relationships
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to be self-directed and work independently, as well as a team-player
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced collaborative environment
  • Interested in continued professional growth including attendance at professional conferences, external training, and course work

Responsibilities

  • Manage oversight of site operations, ensuring alignment with contract requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Direct and support supervisors and field teams, establishing priorities and driving accountability for operational performance
  • Oversee munitions handling, demilitarization, and environmental compliance activities to ensure safe, efficient execution
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring effective communication
  • Develop and implement work plans, procedures, and operational strategies to meet project objectives
  • Monitor staffing levels, resource allocation, and operational performance to achieve production and compliance goals
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor project costs, review invoices, and support budget tracking and forecasting activities
  • Review and approve project deliverables, reports, and operational documentation
  • Coordinate logistics, equipment readiness, and facility support to maintain continuity of operations
  • Lead incident response efforts, including reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Support workforce planning, staff development, mentoring, and performance management
  • Track and communicate key performance metrics, including utilization, labor, and program performance indicators
  • Represent Bay West during meetings, audits, inspections, and industry engagements
  • Support proposal efforts, contract growth initiatives, and business development activities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational success
