About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead projects in heavy civil and underground construction. The role manages budgets, schedules, and on-site personnel while maintaining safety and quality standards. It requires engineering insight, leadership skills, and hands-on experience with civil and underground construction regulations. Occasional travel to project sites is required.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of active project management experience specifically in heavy civil or underground construction.
• Strong understanding of earthwork, grading, concrete structural work, and wet utilities.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to visit active regional job sites occasionally.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline is preferred but not required.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) designation is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules, critical paths, and resource allocation plans.
• Control project costs, approve invoices, and manage profitability against estimates.
• Oversee daily site operations, including Superintendents, Foremen, and subcontractors.
• Negotiate supplier contracts, draft subcontracts, and manage change order processes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, municipal engineers, and public stakeholders.
• Inspect worksites to verify alignment with engineering blueprints and constructability specifications.
• Implement site-specific health and safety plans to maintain compliance with relevant safety bodies.
• Secure necessary environmental clearances, excavation licenses, and local permits.
