Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field OR three (3) years of experience as a rebar detailer OR demonstrated construction project management experience.
  • Ability to apply ACI codes and CRSI standards required.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 3 years of experience detailing rebar projects.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Ability to handle a variety of projects simultaneously and manage time/meet deadlines.
  • Effective leadership skills; ability to coordinate own and others’ actions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills necessary.
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to use all applicable tools.
  • Experience in customer relations and resolving problems or disputes.
  • A basic knowledge of contract law, standard business practices and human relations.

Responsibilities

  • Managing complex projects with Detailing teams and multiple products and vendors from estimating to project completion.
  • Cultivating a positive customer service environment while maximizing profits for Nucor Rebar Fabrication.
  • Reviewing contract documents/drawings and coordinating detailing efforts to supply World Class products and services.
  • Providing total contract management of each project assigned, including cost effective coordination of the detailing, scheduling, and delivery of products and services while ensuring that Nucor Rebar Fabrication fulfills contractual obligations.
  • Coordinating project requirements with the contractor’s representative as well as with the engineer and/or architect using Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s contract management guidelines.
  • Reviewing and processing changes to the project based on the scope in accordance with the company’s change order procedures.
  • Leading the change order process on assigned projects concluding in the acceptance of the change order by the customer.
  • Interpreting and explaining plans and contract terms to teammates, field operations, and customers.
  • Representing the company in project meetings as needed.
  • Working with Sales Service Supervisor to help control the financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with customers.
  • Formulating reports on work progress, costs and scheduling to update leadership.
