We are seeking a collaborative and driven Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and provide an exceptional experience for our clients.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5-7 years of general contracting experience.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, including early mornings and evenings.
  • Work may be performed in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
  • Frequent physical activity includes standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, and pulling.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Construction estimating, means and methods, accounting, document administration, and a thorough understanding of industry practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Application of LEED certifications is preferred.
  • Experience with scheduling software, Textura, Procore, and Bluebeam preferred.
  • Previous experience managing employees preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Full project ownership, including coordinating activities with the Superintendent and project team.
  • Managing all project finances and internal financial reporting.
  • Organizing, understanding, and maintaining up-to-date contract documents.
  • Preparing the project construction schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent and subcontractors.
  • Coordinating the project budget in conjunction with procurement.
  • Reviewing and approving all subcontracts.
  • Approving the master submittal schedule and submittal log.
  • Scheduling and conducting owner and subcontractor coordination and preconstruction meetings.
  • Receiving, reviewing, and fostering resolution to project-specific issues.
  • Supporting the Project Superintendent with schedule management.
  • Assisting the Superintendent in implementing and coordinating quality control and safety procedures.
  • Overseeing and managing subcontractor Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal forms.
  • Managing the Owner Change Order Requests process.
  • Preparing and processing subcontractor Change Orders and associated budget revisions.
  • Preparing and distributing monthly Owner Applications for payment.
  • Overseeing all project administrative logs and close-out activities.
  • Overseeing the RFI process.
  • Driving the site-specific safety plan and promoting a safety-first mindset.
  • Managing multiple projects at varying stages within a lifecycle.
  • Managing a small team, providing oversight, direction, and mentoring.
  • Fostering a team culture aligned with Hourigan’s mission and values.
  • Participating in the Hourigan Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) by committing to safe work practices, raising concerns, attending training, and eliminating hazards.
  • Providing resources and support for positive safety and health outcomes in line with the Hourigan SHMS.
