About The Position

The Project Manager - Facilities, Engineering, and Maintenance (FEM) supports the Facilities and Engineering Projects team in the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned capital and job cost projects in alignment with corporate policies, departmental processes, and applicable regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, building codes, and construction-related systems.
  • Thorough understanding of project management principles, construction practices, contractor management, and project delivery methods.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace applications and project management software platforms including Mail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
  • Valid driver’s license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law. (This role requires the regular and frequent operation of a vehicle, as defined in the Company's MVR policy, and is part of the essential duties of this position.)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English across all levels of leadership and external partnerships (multilingual ability a plus)
  • Valid California driver’s license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law. (This role requires the regular and frequent operation of a vehicle, as defined in the Company’s MVR policy, and is part of the essential duties of this position.)

Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned facilities projects, coordinate consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support successful project execution while minimizing impacts to residents and onsite operations.
  • Facilitate permit applications, plan checks, and governing agency approval processes by preparing, submitting, and tracking required project documentation.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, expenditures, contractor performance, and field progress, proactively identifying and addressing risks, delays, and budget variances.
  • Maintain accurate project information, forecasts, schedules, and documentation within departmental systems, including Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Long-Term Planning (LTP), and other project tracking platforms.
  • Provide routine project status updates, reporting, and project performance metrics to departmental leadership while supporting funding requests, project approvals, and other departmental initiatives.
