Summary HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of engineering-centric projects under the IOF contract at Port Hueneme Division (PHD). The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Electrical Engineering, Software Development, and/or Systems Engineering, coupled with a proven ability to deliver integrated, mission-critical solutions that span multiple technical domains. This role requires strategic leadership, hands-on technical insight, and a collaborative spirit to manage complex project lifecycles and ensure alignment with operational objectives and innovation goals.

Requirements

  • 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; or 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following technical areas: Electrical Engineering (circuit analysis, control systems, embedded hardware), Software Development (embedded programming, application lifecycle management), Systems Engineering (architecture definition, integration, verification and validation).
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities with a proven track record of driving cross functional collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard project management methodologies (Agile, PMI, CMMI).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt information for both technical and non technical audiences.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Project/Program Management (e.g. PMP, PgMP, CAPM, etc.).
  • Experience working with USV operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage concurrent projects with focus on electrical systems, software platforms, and systems integration.
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver unified technical solutions.
  • Define project scopes and develop schedules with deep understanding of electrical schematics, software architecture, and systems-level design.
  • Coordinate engineering workstreams and resource planning across hardware, firmware, and software units.
  • Collaborate with government customers and internal teams to integrate project initiatives.
  • Present technical briefings to leadership and stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
  • Monitor scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with contractual and technical goals.
  • Apply industry best practices in risk mitigation, quality control, and productivity improvements.
  • Generate project status updates, technical documentation, and performance analytics.
  • Ensure technical feasibility and compliance through systems thinking and engineering standards.
