Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction trades and settings or experience with Electronic Security Systems (ESS)
  • Proven ability to follow repeatable processes and participate in Constant Process Improvement (CPI) to iterate and improve workflows and best practices.
  • Experience driving and delivering waterfall schedules to a fixed delivery date while monitoring and controlling projects to ensure required quality standards and profitability.
  • Experience in a client-facing role, with a demonstrated pleasant professional demeanor.
  • Strong technical abilities and the demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Experience working with or working for Enterprise level clients.
  • An understanding of when and how to implement Agile methodologies within a waterfall program such they leverage speed yet are contained to avoid schedule risks.
  • A solid understanding of PMP methodologies and best practices
  • Travel up to 25% of the time is required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license in their state of residence.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management experience with large, complex technical projects within an at-scale program
  • Experience with Electronic Security Systems (ESS)
  • Certified Security Project Manager – CSPM
  • PMP certification from the Project Management Institute preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of project execution—including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction—across the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
  • Accountable for the successful delivery of large-scale, complex ESS projects, requiring effective delegation, diligent follow-through, and assurance of key deliverables.
  • Harness subject matter expertise, drive decision-making, and align cross-functional teams, all while maintaining clear and impactful communication with stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Oversee and perform project management functions with respect to cost, quality and schedule.
  • Act as the person responsible on assigned projects and have direct control over all project management activities.
  • Provide oversight and direction to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop a strong long-term relationship with the client, managing expectations, communications, and satisfaction.
  • Lead the delivery of physical security systems by managing implementation, coordinating teams, and ensuring compliance with specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the delivery and integration of physical security technologies, including closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems, electronic access control systems, intrusion detection alarms, and perimeter security solutions.
  • Possess a strong understanding of general construction sequencing and its impact on project scheduling, risk mitigation, and potential delays.
  • Identify, qualify, and quantify construction-related risks, and communicate those risks clearly and effectively to the stakeholders in written form to support proactive planning and resolution.
  • Collaborate in design reviews to support accurate and comprehensive field documentation across project teams.
  • Develop schedules, establish project baselines, and identify, qualify, and quantify deviations, with clear communication of impacts to the client.
  • Coordinate field verification of prospective work sites, ensuring compliance with quality control requirements, confirming readiness, and documenting site conditions.
  • Monitor and control the financial health of projects, including tracking budgets, costs, and margins.
  • Proactively identify financial risks and implement corrective actions to prevent margin erosion, ensuring profitability and alignment with financial targets.
  • Proactively identify potential customer concerns and address them before they escalate into issues.
  • Deliver thoughtful, comprehensive solutions to both clients and internal stakeholders, fostering trust and ensuring a smooth project experience.
  • Provide flexible, on-demand support to team members, proactively assisting with tasks, problem-solving, and resource coordination to help ensure project success and team efficiency.
  • Partner with the site supervisor to establish and drive the project’s work plan and schedule, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines.
  • Coordinate stakeholder activities to enable system programming and final checkout of systems.
  • Coordinate all critical activities involved in the successful commissioning of security systems, including planning, execution, testing, and documentation.
  • Ensure systems are fully operational, meet design specifications, and are ready for client handover.
  • Work closely with the site supervisor, general contractor, and end user to develop and manage a comprehensive punch list of outstanding tasks following substantial completion.
  • Ensure timely resolution of remaining items to support project closeout and client satisfaction.
  • Facilitate project turnover and training sessions with clients, and service team.
