About The Position
Automated Logic, a Carrier Company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team. This role focuses on serving clients within the New York City area and requires deep knowledge and technical expertise in Project Management. The Project Manager will develop project plans and budgets, identify project problems and recommend solutions, document project delays, perform critical path analyses, and present progress reports. This role also involves improving direct communications with customers and field team members, analyzing and interpreting test information to resolve design/system problems, developing specialized product knowledge, and potentially performing diagnostic procedures. The Project Manager may contact and meet customers on a daily basis. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of Building Automation and Controls experience and/or 5+ years prior Project Management or Supervisory experience
- 1+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Clean and valid driver’s license
- Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment above 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in HVAC (Building Automation Controls), Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical.
- PMP Certification
- Able to lead and motivate teams
- Problem-solving, planning, and project management skills
- Working knowledge of project financial reporting
- Deal with multiple challenges simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Manage projects following project processes and where applicable provide direction to assisting Project Engineers
- Complete projects per the contractual requirements within budget, on-time and with a high level of customer satisfaction
- Responsible for the overall financial performance of assigned projects including project planning, billing, revenue forecasting, A/R collections and re-estimating costs of installation projects.
- Manage the delivery of the contracted scope and secure change orders for the expansion of scope
- Coordinate project materials and the use of shared resources; identify resource constraints, and assist with corrective action plans to remedy any issues
- Manage relationships with sub-contractors, identifying issues, and take corrective action plans to remedy any issues
