About The Position

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from initiation to completion. On this job, the PM will have a Senior PM to report to and to assist with management of the project from start to completion. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction and industrial services projects. The Project Manager must possess a strong knowledge of project management principles, construction processes, and adhere to AIS Infrastructure's safety standards and protocols.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management (a combination of Project Engineer, Assistant PM, and/or PM roles may suffice).
Experience with horizontal/heavy civil construction including site development, mass excavation, grading, trenching, underground utilities, heavy concrete, etc. is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to access secured facilities, including military bases.
OSHA 30-hour construction outreach training.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and best practices.
Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
Strong knowledge of construction project management principles.
Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid/HeavyJob, CMiC, Sage/Timberline, Trimble Viewpoint/Vista, Microsoft Project, etc.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project documentation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Customer service and client management skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with public infrastructure construction involving heavy concrete, such as bridges, foundations, dams, reservoirs, highways, airports etc. is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets under the guidance of a Senior PM.
Coordinate and supervise all project activities, including subcontractors and suppliers.
Ensure project compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
Manage project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
Conduct regular project meetings and communicate project status to stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
Ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications.
Prepare and present project reports to management.
Technical writing and ability to bid work and have it reviewed.
