Leads, directs and coordinates the day-to-day management of the project. This role involves leading the development of high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring, ensuring regular feedback is shared with staff. The Project Manager will manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential, and develop and improve client relationships, fostering a “trusted advisor” status. A key aspect of the role is understanding and administering Turner's contract and subcontract agreements, providing leadership to positively influence change, and promoting Turner's involvement in the community. The position also involves fostering and enhancing architect, subcontractor, and vendor relations, establishing and managing the Master Project Schedule, and potentially working with the preconstruction team. Budget management, financial reporting, and analysis are critical, as is managing the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program. The role requires leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee and pricing decisions, and advising on Turner's business ethics and compliance programs. The Project Manager must demonstrate high standards of personal accountability and integrity, mentoring staff to the same. Oversight of field operations and engineering processes, driving team competencies in insurance, labor relations, and employee relations, and enforcing safety protocols are also essential. Collaboration with Finance for the Pay Application process and keeping management informed through Operations Review Meetings are required. Support and drive utilization of Turner initiatives, promote emerging technologies, and foster an environment of diversity and inclusion are also key responsibilities.
