Project Manager

ClickleaseDraper, UT

About The Position

We are seeking a Project Manager to maintain a centralized portfolio view across all experience teams, connecting individual releases back to strategic initiatives and providing leadership with a single source of truth for delivery health. This role will own the deployment governance process, including facilitating go/no-go decisions for every production release with sign-off from Engineering, QA, and Product stakeholders. The Project Manager will identify and coordinate cross-team dependencies across product and engineering teams, ensuring delivery is sequenced correctly and teams are not blocked or blindsided by upstream work. This position will compile and deliver executive reporting on delivery status, timelines, risks, and forecasts, translating multi-team delivery complexity into concise, actionable updates for leadership. The role involves managing the Executive scorecard by tracking ETAs for in-flight initiatives, proactively pushing teams for updates, and investigating Jira to identify slippage risks before they surface. The Project Manager will identify, manage, and escalate systemic delivery risks such as capacity contention, environment mismatches, and cross-team sequencing breakdowns, providing clear options and recommended paths forward. This role will facilitate weekly cross-team delivery syncs, go/no-go meetings, and quarterly planning sessions with consistent formats and clear outcomes. The Project Manager will act as a neutral liaison between Product and Engineering, investigating delivery timelines and shipped dates to reconcile discrepancies and maintain trust across the organization. They will coordinate cross-team initiative management when work spans multiple teams, providing guidance on priority and sequencing to keep cross-cutting efforts moving. Additionally, the role supports capitalization (R&D) reporting by providing Accounting with accurate classifications of engineering work for financial reporting purposes. The Project Manager will drive continuous improvement in delivery processes by identifying systemic friction points, proposing solutions, and measuring the impact of process changes across teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software project management, program management, or delivery management in a multi-team engineering environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-team dependencies and coordinating delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Strong executive communication skills — ability to translate technical delivery complexity into clear, concise updates for leadership audiences
  • Proficiency with Jira for portfolio tracking, backlog management, and delivery reporting (including JQL, dashboards, and custom fields)
  • Experience with deployment and release management processes, including go/no-go governance and production readiness coordination
  • Strong risk identification and escalation skills — ability to distinguish between technical risks (owned by engineering) and systemic risks (owned by the PM role) and drive resolution proactively
  • Familiarity with Agile and Kanban delivery methodologies in a continuous delivery environment (not sprint-based)
  • Ability to operate as a neutral party across Product and Engineering teams, building trust through accuracy, transparency, and follow-through

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, engineering, or a related field
  • PMP, PgMP, CSM, or SAFe certification

  • Jira administration experience (workflow configuration, custom fields, project schemes)
  • Proficiency with Confluence for documentation, knowledge management, and stakeholder communication
  • Experience building executive dashboards and portfolio-level reporting using tools like Jira Dashboards, Power BI, or Google Data Studio
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to improve project management productivity — report drafting, data synthesis, risk analysis, or process documentation
