About The Position

The Project Manager manages assigned projects and supports larger, higher-risk, or enterprise-wide initiatives led by Planning & Administration. The role coordinates project planning, schedules, documentation, governance, reporting, risks, change readiness, implementation, and closure across strategic, operational, technology, compliance, facilities, and member-service initiatives. The Project Manager supports IMCU's project management framework by maintaining project resources, portfolio information, governance records, and reporting while partnering with sponsors, business owners, project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to promote successful project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum three (3) years of project coordination, project management, business analysis, operations, technology implementation, process improvement, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives, facilitating meetings, maintaining project documentation, and working with vendors and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong project management, organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, risks, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, governance practices, and documentation standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
  • Ability to prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and executive-level updates.

Nice To Haves

  • Financial-services, credit-union, or other regulated-industry experience preferred.
  • CAPM or other relevant project management education or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate assigned projects through the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, business needs, and governance requirements.
  • Assist business owners and project teams in defining requirements, deliverables, success measures, implementation needs, acceptance, and project closure activities.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, work plans, resource assignments, dependencies, and status updates.
  • Support the consistent use of IMCU's Project Management Policy, Guidance, templates, tools, and governance processes.
  • Support project intake, project tiering, governance recommendations, and documentation requirements based on project size, complexity, and risk.
  • Maintain project records, portfolio information, dashboards, executive reporting, and project calendars.
  • Review project documentation for completeness and follow up on outstanding actions, approvals, decisions, and closure activities.
  • Maintain project management resources and recommend improvements to templates, reporting practices, and governance processes.
  • Partner with sponsors, business owners, project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to maintain alignment, accountability, and timely decision-making.
  • Coordinate project activities and required reviews with Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, Information Technology, Information Security, Procurement, and Vendor Management.
  • Review vendor plans, statements of work, deliverables, milestones, and dependencies to align vendor activities with IMCU responsibilities.
  • Maintain appropriate internal governance and documentation for vendor-led implementations.
  • Facilitate meetings, encourage collaboration, and communicate project status, risks, issues, and key decisions.
  • Identify, track, and escalate project risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and changes.
  • Support change management activities, including communications, training, readiness, implementation support, and post-launch follow-up.
  • Partner with business owners to support operational readiness, ownership transition, and acceptance of project deliverables.
