About The Position

Nesco Data Center is seeking a Project Manager in the Greater Baltimore MD area. This Technical Project Manager – IT Infrastructure role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing IT and technical infrastructure projects from initiation through completion. The Project Manager will develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, task assignments, dependencies, and deliverables while coordinating internal teams, field technicians, engineers, vendors, and customer stakeholders. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, track project status, identify risks and dependencies, resolve issues, and keep stakeholders informed. Experience with project scheduling, resource coordination, status reporting, documentation, change management, and project tracking tools is preferred. Familiarity with data center, network, infrastructure deployment, migration, relocation, rack-and-stack, cabling, hardware installation, or other technical service environments is highly desirable. The role is scalable based on project requirements, with the ability to begin at approximately 20 hours per week and increase to 30–40 hours per week during periods of higher project activity or critical milestones.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of project management experience, preferably within IT, infrastructure, data center, or technical services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to build and manage project schedules and timelines.
  • Experience coordinating multiple teams, resources, vendors, and customer stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and accountability.
  • Ability to identify project risks, dependencies, schedule conflicts, and resource constraints.
  • Comfortable managing changing priorities and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Jira, or similar project-management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with data center, network, infrastructure deployment, migration, relocation, rack-and-stack, cabling, hardware installation, or other technical service environments is highly desirable.
