About The Position

The Project Manager III will work under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated by the Project Manager III, and determine course of action to obtain desired results. The Project Manager III work will be checked through consultation and agreement by others rather than by formal review of superior. Kraton is a global manufacturer of sustainable specialty polymers and biobased pine chemicals, delivering innovative, high-performance solutions.

Requirements

• 15+ Project Management experience
• Works on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
• Experience working on complete projects.
• Effective Communications Skills (verbally, written, presentation).
• Collaborates effectively with plant engineering, maintenance, and leadership.
• Able to acquire knowledge of the site(s) including chemical processes and physical layout.
• The successful candidate, if not PMP certified, must actively work toward timely certification

Responsibilities

• Manages employees, and contractors.
• Lead Project Management Teams
• Works with plants/leadership to develop capital plan for plant.
• Works with the plant team to utilize the project execution work process consistently.
• Works with the corporate procurement group to get best price, quality, & timing on capital purchases.
• Leads front-end development and planning on capital projects.
• Develops good monthly forecasting techniques to consistently spend capital based on plans.
• Works with project teams to develop good cost estimates for capital projects.
