Requirements

  • Eight (8) years of progressive experience managing information technology (IT) projects, including at least five (5) years serving as the Project Manager on federal or comparable public-sector IT initiatives of similar scope, complexity, and dollar value.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of direct experience planning, executing, and overseeing projects that implement artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) solutions (e.g., large language models, intelligent automation, advanced analytics, AI-enabled decision support, or similar capabilities) into production or operational environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate experience managing cost, schedule, scope, and performance for multidisciplinary IT and AI-focused teams (e.g., software engineers, data scientists/ML engineers, testers, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operations) using Agile and/or iterative delivery methods in coordination with DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Working knowledge of the federal acquisition lifecycle and interaction with Contracting Officers (COs), Contracting Officer’s Representatives (CORs), and governance bodies, including familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and applicable agency supplements as they relate to IT and AI services.
  • A practical understanding of cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), federal security and privacy requirements (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST RMF, protection of PII), and service-level management, including the unique risk, ethics, and governance considerations associated with AI capabilities.
  • Developing and maintaining integrated project plans and schedules; risk, issue, and action item logs; AI-specific risk and model-governance artifacts (e.g., model evaluation plans, bias and performance tracking, change-management for models); resource and staffing plans; and recurring status reports and performance metrics required by the contract.
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills sufficient to brief senior Government stakeholders and prepare formal documentation.
