About The Position

This position supports Entergy Texas distribution reliability team by managing all reliability project aspects including coordinating schedules, managing budget and ensuring efficiency in all steps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management or equivalent (4 year degree required).
  • 5+ years of experience in customer service, engineering or operations.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of utility rates, regulatory issues, company policy, construction of new facilities and contract requirements, and have the ability to prioritize opportunities based on probability of success and profitability.
  • Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator, able to effectively develop and present sales proposals to prospective customers.

Responsibilities

  • Establish project schedules, and track and control project costs and schedules to meet budgets and critical milestones.
  • Prepare and conduct management review meetings at critical milestones.
  • Maintain current information on project status in all relevant division and accounting databases.
  • Resolve project conflicts that affect cost, schedule, or customer satisfaction, and develop appropriate action and recovery plans.
  • Ensure that the project team utilizes the Capital Projects Process in the development and implementation of capital projects
  • Manage a portfolio of reliability projects.
  • Accountable for the coordination of and communication to all project resources, both internal and external.
  • Communicate resource status to functional managers and jointly develop contingency plans.
  • Ensure timely closeout of projects, including all required documentation.
  • Provide feedback to functional management on team members' individual performance.
  • As a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company.
