About The Position

Provide support services as a Project Manager in support of the overall operational objectives of the Clinical Center within the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The primary objective is to provide services and deliverables through support services for the NIH Office of Clinical Research Training and Medical Education which manages medical education, clinical rotations, and internships spanning the biomedical career pathway at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a field of study in Business Management and Administration, Management Information Systems and Statistics, or similar.
  • Experience working with SharePoint, MS Office, Adobe Professional, WebEx
  • Experience working with 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as it pertains to Federal government websites
  • Skilled in scientific writing, editing, layout and design, publication clearance and overall desktop and web-publishing procedures
  • Ability to speak with subject-matter experts on a variety of scientific topics and translating that material into plain language articles of varying lengths.
  • Review, analyze, interpret, organize and draft materials in appropriate format; skill in fact finding analysis to interpret and organize data
  • Skilled in project management, website content management

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and carry out various writing projects, including CC News articles, website content, reports and press releases.
  • Work with website management staff to support Clinical Center web projects and serve as liaison between departments and web teams.
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 for Federal websites.
  • Maintain and update Institute websites.
  • Lead participatory design sessions and contextual evaluations for website design and maintenance.
  • Develop user experience design solutions for online environments.
  • Guide user testing, usability testing and product evaluations using mockups, prototypes and visual designs.
  • Meet with customers to identify usability research needs and communicate results.
  • Perform post-development usability testing to ensure products meet Clinical Center and usability objectives.
  • Serve as liaison between Institute website stakeholders and public inquiries.
  • Manage and utilize social media to disseminate information to Clinical Center audiences.
  • Provide onsite media support logistics, including permissions, escorting film crews and obtaining patient consent.
  • Review incoming public inquiries and ensure responses are routed and completed within deadlines.
  • Coordinate responses to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
  • Coordinate special projects including event promotion, branding, and initiatives.
  • Support mobile and online application initiatives, including attending educational conferences as needed.
  • Work products and documents related to managing and supporting web projects and user experience development; conducting design sessions and evaluations; developing UX solutions; maintaining and updating websites.
  • Work products and documents related to directing user testing, usability evaluations, customer engagement and post-development testing.
  • Work products and documents related to performing media support logistics and managing public inquiries.
  • Work products and documents related to maintaining websites and utilizing social media for information dissemination.
  • Work products and documents related to coordinating writing projects, special projects and FOIA responses.
  • Work products and documents related to attending conferences, sharing findings and supporting team initiatives.
