About The Position

Atwill-Morin Structure is a well-established general contractor specializing in the repair and restoration of concrete structures, with a mission to preserve the architectural heritage of Quebec and Ontario. We employ nearly 1,000 skilled masonry, concrete, and scaffolding professionals in the Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, and Toronto areas. We are currently looking for a project manager to join our dynamic Ottawa team.

Requirements

  • Technical training in civil engineering, architecture, or other field related to construction.
  • Ability to read plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in French and English
  • Ease with the Microsoft Office suite and Ms Project
  • Have taken the OHS course on construction sites

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, lead and control assigned construction projects
  • Participate in project planning and monitoring meetings
  • Represent Atwill-Morin Structure with the client and professionals (participate in the kick-off meeting, site meetings, etc.)
  • Plan the needs for labour, materials, equipment and tools
  • Build and follow the project timeline
  • Follow up on shop drawings and manage changes
  • Determine and obtain the permits required for the execution of the project
  • Implement and supervise the prevention program on assigned sites
  • Coordinate and manage prevention in occupational health and safety
  • Prepare, have approved and transmit the required contractual documents and correspondence
  • Notify the client of any additional work and notify subcontractors of any chargebacks
  • Produce and distribute site guidelines
  • Track costs and additional work
  • Provide the accounting team the information about the progress of the project and ensure the preparation of invoicing
  • Supervise the entire project and make corrections if necessary
  • Ensure that the contract is regularly updated to reflect changes
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Manage execution of non-compliance reports
  • Manage the classification of project documentation
  • Manage rentals of accessories on construction sites such as waste container, "jig," etc.
