About The Position

This role is responsible for leading project teams in the development and execution of project charters and management plans. The Project Manager will direct, manage, monitor, and control projects, evaluating tradeoffs and refining project scope with stakeholders. Key activities include creating detailed Work Breakdown Structures, developing and managing Gantt charts, analyzing critical paths, and collaborating on budget establishment and monitoring. The role also involves developing risk management and procurement management plans, estimating and assigning project resources, and providing feedback on team member performance. Additionally, the Project Manager will develop and execute communication and stakeholder management plans, build relationships with internal and external personnel, and understand quality systems. The ideal candidate will possess high emotional intelligence, remain calm under pressure, be adept at conflict resolution, drive results, manage teams effectively, influence without direct authority, incorporate end-user feedback, understand how goals fit into broader organizational objectives, prioritize tasks, keep the customer at the forefront, exercise good judgment, and have a growth mindset.

Requirements

  • BS or equivalent and 4+ years of work experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in the development of the project charter and management plan.
  • Direct, manage, monitor, and control project.
  • Evaluate tradeoffs within project.
  • Meet with project stakeholders to understand and refine project scope; review with manager for approval.
  • Create detailed Work Breakdown Structure.
  • Develop and manage the detailed project Gantt chart.
  • Analyze critical path and major workstreams.
  • Collaborate with supervisor and/or project PM to establish sub-project budget.
  • Monitor and maintain costs within budget.
  • Partner with project team to create project Quality Plans using 1-2 quality planning tools and techniques.
  • Monitor and maintain plans.
  • Develop a risk management plan for the project.
  • Identify, analyze and understand project risks, develop and monitor a risk response plan.
  • Contribute in the development of a Procurement Management Plan and collaborate on the selection of procurement partners.
  • Estimate, acquire and assign project team resources.
  • Define the role, responsibility, and deliverables for each team member.
  • Provide direct feedback to functional manager on performance reviews.
  • Develop a Stakeholder management plan for the project, based on the identification, analysis and understanding of Stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop and Execute the communications management plan for project team and the needs of key stakeholders.
  • Builds successful working relationships with internal and external personnel in various departments.
  • Understands quality system(s).
  • Drives results in support of the business, even in the face of demanding timelines.
