About The Position

Mechanical Systems Services (MSS), a Crete United Company, is growing and looking for a Project Manager to support commercial mechanical construction projects across HVAC, plumbing, piping, and medical gas systems. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of commercial mechanical construction project management experience preferred
  • Experience supporting HVAC, plumbing, piping, medical gas, or MEP construction projects
  • Understanding of commercial construction processes and field coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with field and operations teams
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to oversee project execution effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare or medical facility construction experience
  • Experience working for a mechanical contractor environment
  • Exposure to design-build commercial construction projects
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and field labor
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall mechanical project scope on commercial construction projects
  • Coordinate projects from kickoff through closeout while supporting schedule, budget, and quality goals
  • Negotiate and prepare vendor and subcontractor purchase orders
  • Review and evaluate submittments to ensure alignment with contract drawings and project specifications
  • Work closely with general contractors, field leadership, and job foremen to support scheduling and efficient field execution
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors to ensure timely project completion
  • Oversee project execution including production, installation quality, and compliance with project specifications
  • Manage RFIs, change orders, project documentation, and project communication
  • Support procurement, material tracking, and overall project coordination
  • Provide follow-up and close-out documentation for completed projects
  • Participate in project meetings and maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support additional project and operational tasks as needed to ensure successful project delivery
