About The Position

ESCO is a 100% employee-owned company that opened its doors in 1944, located in Evergreen, CO. We specialize in various civil construction projects including earthwork, utilities, concrete flat work, and concrete structures for both private and public clients throughout Colorado and surrounding states. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in heavy civil construction. The ideal candidate will be organized, motivated, detail-oriented, and driven. Requirements

  • 5+ years progressive responsibility on heavy civil construction projects.
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or similar discipline.
  • Strong understanding of field operations with aptitude for building complex projects and effectively managing crews.
  • Ability to access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Basic computer skills with the use of Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with HCSS HeavyBid, Agtek earthwork takeoff software, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Managing budgets, including internal labor and equipment costs, subcontractors, and materials.
  • Understanding heavy construction means and methods.
  • Performing quantity takeoffs.
  • Soliciting and analyzing subcontractor and material quotations.
  • Preparing and monitoring project schedules.
  • Issuing and administering subcontracts.
  • Handling monthly progress billing.
  • Identifying and addressing field changes.
  • Working with A/R and A/P on accounts.
