About The Position

The Project Manager acts as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring project goals, schedules, and priorities are clearly communicated and met. They are accountable for overall project success and client satisfaction, fostering long-term partnerships. This role also involves collaborating across teams to drive strategic marketing initiatives, support Robinson’s mission and goals, and identify cost-saving opportunities—while upholding production timelines, quality, and craftsmanship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, project management, or design preferred
  • minimum of five years previous project management or shop floor supervision experience in metal manufacturing.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
  • Strong client-facing, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Syteline, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks
  • Skilled in leading DFM meetings and providing technical input
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities

Responsibilities

  • Review scope, RFQs, and POs to understand customer expectations and support estimating.
  • Own projects from PO receipt through invoicing, including planning, documentation, and profitability.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact, addressing inquiries and providing regular updates.
  • Lead project planning meetings and coordinate across departments to ensure alignment.
  • Monitor quality and inspection standards per RMI and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Production to resolve issues.
  • Conduct post-job reviews and performance evaluations.
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and new business opportunities through product knowledge.
  • Manage risks to minimize financial and production impacts.
  • Track and report project progress using appropriate tools.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to improve processes and drive business growth.
  • Must be able to travel on short notice.
