Project managers are responsible for overseeing specific projects within an organization. As the project manager, the role includes planning, budgeting, oversight, and documentation of all aspects of the assigned project(s). Project managers may work independently or lead a team to ensure successful completion. The Provider Services unit supports Medicaid and CHIP providers with Fee-for-Service (FFS) claims management, support, administrative appeals, provider enrollment, and Electronic Visit Verification (EVV). A Project Manager (PM) is needed to manage the Provider Enrollment and Management System (PEMS) Plus Credentialing project. PEMS is used for enrolling providers into the Medicaid program. Providers must be enrolled to deliver services and receive payment. In addition, providers must also be credentialed by Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and/or Dental Maintenance Organizations (DMOs). The credentialing process ensures providers have the appropriate qualifications to deliver contracted services. This project will ensure the credentialing process is integrated into the PEMS application to streamline provider enrollment and reduce extra steps. The PM will manage and lead the integration of the credentialing application into PEMS, report to governance committees, identify and communicate critical path dependencies, and oversee testing plans. The PM will work closely with leadership and oversee the work of other project staff to ensure tasks are assigned, tracked, and completed on time.
