Project Mgr

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.•Miami, FL

About The Position

The Project Manager, Product Engineering is accountable for the delivery outcomes of assigned initiatives within Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ GTO Product Engineering PMO. The role partners with Product Engineering leadership to deliver prioritized initiatives across platforms including web, mobile, reservation systems, CRM, data warehouse, and marketing technology. Projects may span Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. This is an execution-focused position, responsible for driving predictable delivery, removing roadblocks, and moving projects through to completion. Reporting to the Director of the Product Engineering PMO, the Project Manager works within GTO Center of Excellence standards, governance, and reporting frameworks, including the L-gate lifecycle, capital approval process, and Portfolio Operations Review cadence. The role leads cross-functional teams through influence rather than direct reporting authority and is accountable for accurate, candid project reporting. The Project Manager owns initiatives end to end, from intake and planning through execution, testing, deployment, hypercare, and closure. Responsibilities include project planning and prioritization, risk and scope management, financial forecasting and tracking, vendor oversight, requirements and test coordination, deployment readiness, stakeholder communication, portfolio reporting, and clean operational handover. The role also supports change management, training, adoption, and benefits realization while applying PMO and Center of Excellence standards.

  • Experience owning project financials, including capital and operating expense forecasting, actuals tracking, and variance reporting in partnership with Finance.
  • Experience managing software vendors, implementation partners, or systems integrators against contracted scope and deliverables, and communicating delivery risk directly to senior stakeholders.
  • Ownership mindset and willingness to pursue commitments through direct conversation.
  • Investigative rigor in assessing status, estimates, and blockers and asking questions before reporting upward.
  • Bias to action in addressing risks, requirement changes, and dependencies as they arise.
  • Disciplined follow-up, including documented owners and due dates and proactive deadline check-ins.
  • Ability to communicate project health directly and accurately to senior stakeholders.
  • Service orientation toward business partners, engineering teams, and vendors, including anticipating constraints and removing friction.
  • Financial literacy sufficient to own a project forecast and explain variances and reforecasts to Finance and PMO leadership.
  • Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under deadline pressure and create clarity from ambiguity.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Clarity, MS Project, LucidChart, and Microsoft Office Suite, with adaptability across delivery domains.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe, or another Agile certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Engineering leadership on planning, prioritization, and execution of product roadmaps and enhancements.
  • Build and maintain project plans covering scope, schedule, milestones, resourcing, dependencies, and critical path through the GTO L-gate lifecycle.
  • Secure direct commitments from owners when milestones slip or dependencies are blocked, documenting agreements and following up proactively.
  • Investigate project status, technical work, estimates, schedule buffers, dependencies, environments, infrastructure, and blockers.
  • Address risks, requirement changes, and unmapped dependencies as they arise.
  • Conclude meetings with documented action matrices identifying owners, deliverables, and due dates, and follow up before deadlines.
  • Manage scope through formal change control; maintain risk, issue, dependency, action, and decision logs; and escalate stalled resolutions with a recommended path.
  • Report project health accurately, including blockers, impacts, corrective actions, and required decisions or escalations.
  • Own project financials, including capital and operating expense forecasts, actuals, accruals, variance analysis, and reforecasting with Finance; track requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor spend against approved funding.
  • Manage vendors and systems integrators, including deliverable acceptance, statement-of-work adherence, and escalation of performance issues.
  • Partner with business analysts and process owners to validate requirements, designs, and acceptance criteria before build; coordinate test planning, defect triage, user acceptance testing, and go/no-go readiness.
  • Plan and execute deployment and cutover, including readiness checks, rollback planning, communications, and handover to operational support.
  • Enable business partners, delivery teams, and vendors by anticipating constraints, reducing unnecessary process friction, and aligning delivery with strategic priorities.
  • Partner with change management on engagement, training, and adoption needed to realize benefits.
  • Produce accurate, timely Portfolio Operations Review reporting and maintain project data in GTO portfolio tools of record.
  • Close projects with support transition, benefits baseline, and lessons learned, applying and reinforcing PMO and Center of Excellence standards.
