About The Position

Singer Equipment Company is seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager to join their team. This role involves supporting the Contract Sales teams by managing the kitchen equipment construction phase of contract projects. The Project Manager will drive customer satisfaction by ensuring projects are completed as planned and meet or exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in construction management, a deep understanding of food service operations, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include working with the customer’s construction team and contractors to maintain project schedules and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders from project start-up through punch list completion.

Requirements

• College degree or comparable experience.
• 3-5 years of project management experience in the food equipment industry.
• 3-5 years of experience reading CAD drawings.
• Experience using Bluebeam
• Familiarity with local building codes and health regulations related to food service operations
• Strong understanding of foodservice equipment and operations
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential challenges in the construction process, offer potential solutions, and communicate both challenges and solutions efficiently and effectively to internal and external project team.
• Conduct pre-construction, progress and close-out meetings.
• Review KEC drawing and equipment package to address any discrepancies or potential challenges.
• Review and approve shop drawings for hoods, walk-ins, beer systems, custom fabrication.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer’s construction team and contractors ensuring effective communication throughout the lifecycle of the project to create a seamless project with a strong finish.
