The Project Manager manages all aspects of construction projects and oversees all functions necessary to provide value added services to client agencies for full and modified service projects. This role involves representing DASNY as the primary liaison to client agencies, making recommendations regarding project approach, and developing and monitoring project scope, budget, and schedule. The Project Manager will also manage and participate in the selection of design and construction consultants, monitor the development of project drawings and documents, and coordinate bid processes. They will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring all project activities, conducting progress meetings, and ensuring consultant and contractor compliance with DASNY procedures. Additionally, the role includes managing consultant and construction contracts, overseeing deliverables, developing reports, evaluating performance, and supervising field staff. Ensuring quality, participating in claims negotiation, maintaining records, and assisting with construction-related software are also key functions. The Project Manager will also conduct facility surveys, pursue new business opportunities, train and evaluate employees, develop procedures, assess internal controls, and assist management with policy development. Special assignments may be undertaken as directed. Regular attendance and adherence to NYS Information Security Policy Standards are required.
