About The Position

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects at North State Aviation, acting as a liaison between the customer and the company. This role involves coordinating work scope changes, technical requirements, and specialized tooling. The Project Manager ensures that all maintenance documentation is handled correctly and that rejected cards are addressed. While duties can be delegated, the Project Manager retains overall responsibility.

Requirements

  • Ability to see and read information via computer screen or other electronic device.

  • Ability to hear if equipment/tools, etc. are operating properly.

  • Ability to hear and understand what others are saying in normal conversation.
  • Possess and demonstrate leadership qualities and skills such as coaching, motivating, encouraging, building productive and cohesive teams, and effectively managing the performance of others.
  • Must also possess excellent organizational and planning skills.

  • FAR Part 65 Subpart “D” certification
  • At least 5 years maintenance experience on Boeing and Airbus transport category aircraft

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer at least 3 years’ experience as a Lead maintenance mechanic on a Boeing and Airbus transport category
  • Prefer at least 2 years of supervisory or management experience

Responsibilities

  • Assumes and performs all duties of a Maintenance Supervisor as needed.
  • Acts as the direct liaison between the customer representative and North State Aviation regarding project oversight.
  • Coordinates any work scope changes requested by the customer with the Manager of Production Control and Planning.
  • Coordinates technical requirements for all customer issues relating to engineering assistance, material substitutions, specialized tooling, etc.
  • Works with the Manager of Production Control and Planning and the Manager of Tooling & Materials for the identification and processing of requests for any required specialized tooling.
  • Ensures all routine and non-routine cards rejected by Auditors are appropriately addressed with maintenance personnel.
  • Understands and applies the chapters and sections of the manual that apply to his or her position.
  • Assures segregation of all cards awaiting parts or tooling in a specified area of the card rack.
  • Performs additional duties as may be assigned.
