About The Position

The primary objective of this engagement is to serve as the IT Project Manager for the Bureau of Community Health Systems (BCHS), leading the implementation of an EHR for 59 SHCs and clinical staff in BCHS, the Bureau of Immunizations (BOI), and the Bureau of Communicable Diseases (BCD). The Project Manager is a 'senior' level resource with specialized knowledge and experience in EHRs, health informatics, and health IT. The PM will have proven experience leading large-scale projects to successful implementation and experience with planning around organizational change management (OCM).

Requirements

• Experience with the implementation of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system where the customer was employing a paper-based charting system.
• Possess Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification for a minimum of '5' years, MUST UPLOAD A VALID COPY OF PMP CERTIFICATION WITH CANDIDATE SUBMISSION.
• Must currently reside in PA. OUT OF STATE CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
• Participate with Program Office staff in off-site meetings (i.e., State Health Centers), if required/requested.
• Seven (7) to nine (9) years of relevant Project Management experience proving they have/can perform the role effectively.
• Experience with EHR and/or EMR, health informatics, and health IT.
• Familiar with the five (5) phases along with inputs/outputs identified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) that combine to turn a project idea into a working product.
• Strong interpersonal skills are required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with organizational change management (OCM) with independent customers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs, administers, manages, and facilitates enhancement(s), re-engineering of a business process(es) for a developmental project.
• Ultimately responsible for the HHS DOH program implementation. The PM’s primary responsibility is to drive the entire effort from start to finish.
• Ensure that the project is completed on schedule, within the defined budget and that the final product meets the business, technical, and established quality requirements.
• Rely on proven experience leading projects to a successful implementation, and their judgment, to plan and accomplish goals.
• Consult with the program area and various IT teams to define requirements and to analyze and resolve problems, ensuring collaboration and agreement with recommended solutions.
