About The Position

idX Corporation, a subsidiary of UFP Industries, is a leading designer and manufacturer of consumer environments, providing comprehensive solutions from concept to completion. We are seeking a Remote Project Manager to manage and coordinate all aspects of customer programs for mid-to-large-sized divisional customers, ensuring operational and financial targets are met. This role may involve working with an Account Executive on programs requiring multidivisional coordination. The position allows for remote work from anywhere within the United States, with travel up to 25%.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of Construction Project Management experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and other software for business applications.
  • Experience in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Ability to successfully interact and communicate with all organizational levels and the public.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in general telephone and office etiquette and legible handwriting.
  • Demonstrate ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to apply business math to manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Ability to use a computer as well as typical business operation and communication software.
  • Ability to manage several activities/projects at once, to organize and prioritize work, to meet deadlines, to prepare plans, goals and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all phases of the project/program, including RFP, order confirmations, sales orders, detailing, purchasing, production, delivery, and installation.
  • Develop and manage critical project/program timelines by obtaining customer approval and monitoring the process through completion, providing updates and adjustments.
  • Review and approve all design/detail architectural fixture drawings before release to the customer.
  • Actively manage customer inventories and re-orders.
  • Monitor production status of fixtures at factories to ensure quality and lead time standards are met, and aid in developing corrective actions.
  • Assist in managing finished goods inventory related to assigned customers.
  • Support estimating and costing of programs, including participation in cost-reduction programs.
  • Pursue revenue and gross margin growth in partnership with Sales and Operations.
  • Act as an extension of the customer's team, prioritizing customer advocacy.
  • Serve as a mentor to junior Project Management associates and provide training.
  • May oversee Project Administrators and Project Coordinators.
  • May be required to travel as needed.
