Join our team as a Project Manager! This is a hybrid role based out of our Denver office in Westminster, CO. The position is salaried and includes eligibility for overtime pay. As a Project Manager at Matrix Technologies, you will lead complex industrial engineering, automation, and EPC projects from planning through completion. Working with multidisciplinary teams that may include process, mechanical, electrical, controls, automation, civil, structural, and architectural professionals, you will play a critical role in delivering successful projects while driving profitability, schedule performance, clear communication, and client satisfaction. This role manages large multidisciplinary projects, major single-discipline projects, systems integration projects, and both EPC and services-only engagements. You will build strong client relationships, guide project teams, and help position Matrix for repeat business. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture.
  • Four or more years of project management experience.
  • Seven or more years of engineering experience.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% to 50% locally and 10% to 20% overnight.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with multidisciplinary engineering and EPC projects.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Experience with project controls, procurement, subcontract administration, and construction execution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, communication, client relationships, and overall execution while leading multidisciplinary teams and supporting business growth.
  • Implement proposal procedures, project execution plans, and action plans.
  • Review resource requirements and assignments with appropriate department managers.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Lead scope management, change control, risk assessment, and mitigation activities.
  • Develop and nurture professional relationships with clients and project teams.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, design, systems integration, and construction activities.
  • Initiate, document, and facilitate communication with clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure contractual requirements are understood and satisfied.
  • Maintain records of purchased materials, subcontracts, project decisions, and contractual documentation.
  • Issue and administer subcontracts and associated documentation.
  • Manage oversight of construction activities for EPC projects.
  • Coordinate billing, procurement, and other commercial activities with the accounting department, and assist with accounts receivable collections when needed.
  • Recommend changes to standard operating procedures in support of continuous improvement and share project management expertise to enhance overall performance.
  • Strengthen client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat and future business.
  • Provide resource managers with timely, job-related feedback regarding personnel assigned to project teams, including development needs and areas requiring support.
  • Represent Matrix Technologies in professional organizations and societies related to project management and engineering.
