About The Position

The Department of Design and Construction, Division of Public Buildings, Architecture & Engineering-Design & Construction Excellence seeks a Project Manager. The selected candidate will assist and participate in project scope development, existing conditions and forensic analyses, the review of design & construction documents prepared by consultants, and the preparation and/or review of documents and Construction Administration activities. The Project Manager will serve as a liaison to assist the Team Leader with coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to ensure compliance with project schedules, milestones, and deadlines. The selected candidate must be knowledgeable of design principles, industry best practices, building codes, project delivery methodologies, and the latest technologies and innovations in the field. The selected candidate will interface with clients, consultants, contractors, project managers, and other technical staff.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration, and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, for engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects
• Four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of experience as described in '1' above
• Four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent plus any combination of the experience and/or college education as described in '1' above to make up the equivalent of five years of education and experience. One year of credit will be given for each 30 semester credits of college education leading to a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration
• Currently authorized to work full-time in the United States (U.S.)
• Must present original documents proving citizenship or the legal right to work in the U.S.
• Educational credentials must be from a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accredited institution. Credentials from foreign institutions require independent equivalency verification from an approved evaluation service.
