About The Position

RS&H seeks a motivated Aviation Project Manager to join its growing Albuquerque aviation team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex aviation projects while building a career with a nationally-recognized, employee-owned firm in the Southwest's expanding aviation market. The aviation sector in New Mexico is experiencing steady growth across commercial, military, and general aviation. As a Project Manager in the Albuquerque Aviation team, you will lead projects that shape the region's aviation infrastructure, from the Rio Grande Valley to the Four Corners, while advancing your career in one of the Southwest's most dynamic markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 7+ years of civil engineering experience, with 4+ years in aviation.
  • PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Proven ability to lead design teams and manage project delivery.
  • Strong technical knowledge of aviation design fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel across New Mexico and the Southwest region.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and deliver aviation projects from concept through construction, including airfield design, pavement engineering, utilities, and terminals.
  • Oversee production teams, quality assurance, and financial performance.
  • Focus on innovative design and technical excellence.
  • Coordinate with airports, airlines, FAA, and stakeholders across New Mexico and the Southwest.
  • Handle construction administration, grant management, and multi-disciplinary coordination.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across the region.
  • Support business development efforts to expand the Southwest presence.
  • Contribute to proposal development and capture strategies.
  • Represent RS&H at regional industry events and professional organizations.
  • Work alongside experienced aviation leaders who invest in your growth.
  • Gain exposure to diverse project types and complexities across the Southwest.
  • Mentor junior staff and build leadership skills.
  • Participate in firm equity and bonus programs.
