Project Manager - Oil and Gas

CANUSA EPC LLCDenver, CO
$50 - $70Onsite

About The Position

CANUSA EPC LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Denver project team and lead the execution of upstream and midstream oil & gas projects. This role sits at the center of project execution—bringing together engineering, design, procurement, vendors, clients, and field teams to keep projects moving from kickoff through delivery. We're looking for someone who understands how EPC projects actually get executed and is comfortable taking ownership of scope, schedule, budget, client communication, team coordination, and overall project performance. This is not a role focused solely on reporting project status. Our Project Managers are expected to actively lead their teams, identify problems early, drive decisions, maintain accountability, and build strong relationships with our clients.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience supporting engineering, EPC/EPCM, construction, or energy projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects or significant project scopes
  • Experience in upstream or midstream oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, or a closely related industry
  • Experience working with an EPC/EPCM firm, producer, midstream operator, or similar organization
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering and design teams
  • Strong understanding of project scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, and change management
  • Experience working directly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Familiarity with greenfield and brownfield project execution
  • Working knowledge of PMI-based project execution principles
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid passport and ability to travel between the U.S. and Canada

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across process, piping, mechanical, electrical, civil/structural, automation, engineering, and design
  • Maintain accountability for project deliverables, deadlines, and commitments
  • Identify project risks, constraints, and potential delays early and develop mitigation plans
  • Manage project changes and communicate impacts to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, vendor, and field activities
  • Support execution of both greenfield and brownfield facility projects
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with client expectations, contractual requirements, and CANUSA standards
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout project execution
  • Lead internal and external project meetings
  • Establish clear expectations and communication between clients and project teams
  • Work closely with discipline leads to establish priorities and resolve roadblocks
  • Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and action items clearly and consistently

  • Build strong working relationships with client engineering, operations, construction, and management teams
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and progress tracking
  • Monitor actual performance against planned hours, cost, and schedule
  • Identify potential overruns and scope concerns before they become larger project issues
  • Manage change orders and ensure out-of-scope work is identified and documented
  • Support TIC estimates, proposals, project estimates, and new business opportunities
  • Participate in resource planning and project staffing
